Do Business in Port Credit

About Us Why Port Credit

Port Credit gives your business a built-in crowd. Residents walk to Lakeshore for their morning coffee, day-trippers arrive by GO train from Toronto, and events like the Southside Shuffle and the weekly farmers market bring thousands of people through the village every year.

Doing Business Here

Since 1977, the Port Credit BIA has worked alongside the City of Mississauga to keep the village looking and feeling its best, and today close to 600 businesses call it home. Restaurants, bars, independent shops, and professional services sit side by side on Lakeshore Road. We keep the streets clean and safe, fill them with flowers and public art, and plan events through every season that bring residents and visitors to your door. We also help members market their businesses, with programs designed to bring locals and tourists into the shops, restaurants, and services that make the village what it is. Open here, and you’re not just setting up shop. You’re joining a village.

If your business has a storefront or office on Lakeshore Road between Maple Avenue and Beechwood Avenue, you’re already part of the Port Credit BIA. Email us at info@portcredit.com to tell us about your business and find out how we can help you get the most out of your membership.

Member Perks & Benefits

Since 1977, the Port Credit BIA has worked with the City of Mississauga to make the village a great place to do business. Here’s what membership means for you:

  • Events that bring the crowds. We sponsor and plan events through every season, giving residents and visitors more reasons to come down to Lakeshore and through your door.
  • Marketing support. We create programs that bring locals and tourists to member businesses, so you’re not doing all the promotion on your own.
  • Clean, safe, beautiful streets. From street cleaning to flowers and public art, we keep the village looking its best and feeling welcoming for your customers.
  • A built-in business community. You’ll join close to 600 restaurants, bars, shops, and professional services working side by side.
  • A team on your side. We work directly with the City of Mississauga to maintain and improve the waterfront community you do business in.
